This comes at a strangely appropriate point in my day. Apparently God loves irony too. I just got done putting my six year old step daughter to bed and part of our nightly ritual is to read from her kids bible. I always walk away from bedtime shaking my head in disbelief. Tonight we read about how Jesus cast demons out of a crazy man and into a pack of pigs who then threw themselves into the sea and drowned. I'm a bit new at parenting but this DOES NOT strike me as suitable for children!! Heck, it will be a miracle if I can go to sleep without a night light now!!
TMMW, I was taught this story from as far back as I can remember in my childhood. Only adults put such emphasis on things like this being bad. Kids take it on face value and do not delve into the darkness. It is just another example of good defeating evil. And it is the first recorded instance of Devil'ed Ham, too.
SY, Welcome, hon. My fav was the Roman Guards at the tomb. I laughed out loud at that one. I read it as a "What chu talkin bout, Willis?" question. Laughed for several minutes.
LOL too cute!
ReplyDeleteLoved them all! Thanks CoffeY!
ReplyDeleteGood stuff dude!
ReplyDeleteTotal chuckles!
