Today was not one of my typical days, but it was something I had to do as part of being in the family. Let me explain…
Dr. Amber’s boyfriend, Bedmate
Bob, has some friends that he plays games with on the weekends. One of these friends also performs with a
local dance group. Another of his
friends mentioned, off handedly, that he would like to do something on
stage. So the dancing friend hooked him
up with a little ditty she was working on. And we were invited to see it, too.
Now I’m not a dancing
fan. Unless they are nude and gyrating
and humping on the state or in my lap, I don’t see the need to be there. But Bob wanted to see his friends perform, so
he invited us along. Judy jumped at the
chance because she likes shit like that.
And I like Judy…and peace and harmony around the hose…so we agreed to
go.
The performance you ask –
since you didn’t set the picture above because you were just too anxious to
read my post? Well, Peeps, it is the
time of the year for Christmas stuff, so we saw The Grinch Who Stole
Christmas.
(The Original Grinch, Dr. Amber and her awesome Bedmate Bob, and The Long Suffering Judy talking on the phone to the ever late Steven and Laura.)
It was an hour and a half of
loud taped music and a rainbow of colors on the stage. But it was a dancing school production and the
entire troop featured beginners through seasoned performers. The little kids were awesome and very disciplined. The more experienced kids dance quiet well,
but their ballet moves were on the balls of their feet while the oldest kids
(late teens and early 20’s) did the whole ballet dance mostly on their toes. Bob’s friend was Daddy Who and did do a few
dance steps, but mostly acted the part.
But the main reason I went is the 26th is Judy’s birthday and today was the only time all the
kids would be available for a celebration.
So after the performance we went out to celebrate her special day at a
great Chinese Restaurant. Then, after the
meal, Dr. Amber, Bob, Steven and his wife, Laura, took Judy to a Painting
thing. She is an artist and loves to
paint, so they have her in a cession. I
did my part by going to the dance thing.
I left them and came home while that are slapping canvas somewhere.
So I am home now enjoying
catching up on my blogger peeps and checking out my Facebook pages. I hope your day was better and you really
enjoyed it…even without any nudity or lap dancing going on.

The dance sounds interesting. I get dragged to those things also.
Spent the day with friends talking guns and solving world problems...LOL
Kristy, gurls like that stuff.
OldNFO, I had rather been with you, especially if beer was involved.
And the Grinch sat in the audience.....I couldn't have done it, and my hat's off to you for giving it all you had.
Didn't you stop off at a strip joint on your way home? Talk about missed opportunities!!
Love the shirt! If you are actually wearing a Grinch shirt, you can't be one. . .
You faker. You are not the Grinch. LOL. Besides, you aren't even green.
