WHO U?
See on the left side all the followers? There are 122 listed, not to mention any that follow me privately - to ashamed to let your name be associated with me? Good, my job is done. My blog is not for everyone, I know that, but I am unique just like everyone else. I do know that probably on 10 to 15 percent of those names actually follow me and fewer even comment. That’s okay, too.
However there are some that I wonder why? In going over the list the other day I noticed some of you are very religious and blog about it regularly. That’s okay with me because I am not offended by your beliefs, but I have to wonder why in God’s name you follow me.
Some of you are poets and, though your prose are great, I just don’t have the time, interest or smarts to understand poetry (unless it more like There was a lady from Cass who had a dimple in her ass… - that kind of stuff.)
Some of you have hundreds, some thousands of followers, so why me? And some of you get hundreds of comments, so what could I say that means anything?
I do follow (lurk) many of you and never comment because there is nothing to say. Everyone has said it already.
And some of you have stopped blogging or blog so infrequently that I just don’t go there anymore.
But the ones that are bugging me the most are those of you who are followers that I cannot find. You have no blog or your name on you picture does not carry me to a blog. So WHO ARE YOU?
Now, as I said before, if you don’t want the world to know you follow me, I can understand that. And if you prefer to say anonymous like this, that’s okay, too. But I would appreciate it if you would email me (johnjudyc@att.com) and tell me something about yourself and how I can read your stuff, if you have a blog. And to tell my why you follow me when you don’t blog. How do you know me?
Here is a fast list:

LĂgia Guerra - Darning you are from Brazil - and your bolg is in Portuguese. Do I look like I can speak or read Portuguese? Didn’t think so. So why are you following me?

I have similar questions about why people "follow" me. I can see if somebody comments every once in a while but most of my followers never say a peep and many of them don't have a blog.
ReplyDeleteKeep us posted on your responses.
Cofeepot,People that follow me follow me,those that comment do.No biggie.I hope that you're having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYogi, will do.
ReplyDeleteMike, I'm more concerned with the ones who come by and I can't return the courtesy.
Well, let's see. I'm not a holy roller type, but God is a dude that I talk to during the day and on my blog, because I like feeling close to God. I need all the help down here I can get. As for poetry, yeah, I write that, but I rarely post a poem on my blog. I admit, I sometimes, roll like Faulkner ... streaming consciousness? I always hope you and all my other beloved followers overlook my posts that seem to make absolutely no sense -- they likely only make sense to me. Feel free to ignore those ;) I'm on the down low only because I may want to rant and rave about some folks in the "real" world, and I am trying to fly under their radar. I love that you are a fellow southerner. I "get you" and I love your free wheeling fun personality! I have followers that never comment, have never commented and probably won't ever comment. Fine by me, if they don't want to interact. Whatever. As for those totally anonymous followers, me no likey that they are totally anonymous.
ReplyDeletefuck...some of us just click on your blog by mistake. I was trying to read the other one next to yours.
ReplyDeleteOh well, you got some funny shit here.
(can we say "fuck" and "shit" on a blog?)
Okay so I wasn't following before, but I am now. I know this wasn't a call for people to follow you, but I've had you in my reader for a long time now, and I think you're well overdue for a "Follow". Most of the time I just forget to follow people once they're in my reader.
ReplyDeletePlus, you mentioned how much you enjoy my religious poems, so you scored some extra points there.
L.S., darling, you are who you are and your beliefs and stuff are yours. It is all of what makes you, you, and your post are great...so shut it.
ReplyDeleteDude, I don't give a fuck what kind of shit is said here. Oh! I think I just embarrassed myself. Shit! Fuckit!
Sco, I wasn’t giving a shout out for more followers, I was commenting on some of the blogs I read. But mostly wanting to know who those people are whom I cannot track back to see their stuff. Sometimes they will have a great blog but the tracking won’t take me to them.
Coffeypot. I have the same problem! Some I would really, really like to follow due to their comment on my blog. But like you, I find some are either unable to be located or once you get a little something on them, there is still no way to follow them.
ReplyDeleteim your biggest fan ;)
ReplyDeletei comment some but i laugh everyday i read your stuff LOL
much hugs!!!:)

bluespinelgirl blogs at Adventures of a Yankee Girl. I think Monique Coco is also known as Surfer Wife. Didn't recognize the rest.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I got rid of my follower widget because I used to have those kinds of questions, too.
