I need some help, peeps. Yeah, Yeah! I know. But this time it’s with my blog.
For a while I was having trouble changing over from my att.net account in blogger to my new gmail.com account. It came down to my ignorance and blogger’s lack of customer support. But I finally figured out that if I logged into gmail for my mail, I lost update capabilities on the bog, and if I logged into blog under the att.net account, I lost the gmail emails. Logging in and out is the only way it would work, and with my moving into a non-AT&T area, I would lose my blog.
So with 64,000 emails to Google support, I finally got the two synced up. But my problem now is, on Dashboard I use to have all my blogs listed on the lower left with a portion of the post in reader. I could click on reader and see the whole post. Now that is gone.
The reason I need it is that some of the blogs I read will not post on my blogger home page (on the left over there, see?) The only way I can read them is in reader. Don’t know why, and don’t really care. But I want them back.
How do I get them back on the Dashboard page? I’ve read some of the lit on the page, but, like everything else on blogger, the instructions are as useless as tits on a nun.
So if any of you IT savvy types can help a pal out, I’d ‘ppreciate it.
Can't help ya, wish I was that smart but I am not...
ReplyDeleteSheesh....
Good luck!
Lisa
I am not sure about your specific problem, but ever since Blogger updated a few months ago, there are certain things (like embed you tube videos) that I can't do from Internet Explorer 9. I had to install Opera (a different internet browser) and use it for you tube videos, commenting on some blogs, and things like that.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, Blogger's customer support is useless.
I'll step in to let you know...I too am useless when it comes to helping out with blogger. Following my surgery (while enjoying life on percocet) the poor choice was made to give my blog a new look... ugh. AirmanMom became pink and I have never been able to recover my old template. Oh well... good luck!
ReplyDelete~AM
No idea without seeing it.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried hitting it with hammer?
ReplyDeleteAlso, whats this about something you can't say in Canada....
NSSS, thank you anyways.
ReplyDeleteBasinah, Blogger has never hear of the saying, 'If if ain't broke don't fix it.'
AM, where is the pink? I don't see it.
Ed, dude, come on down. I could use the expertise.
Thanx for helping Duckalicious out on my blog today!
ReplyDeleteI suggest whiskey.
ReplyDeleteWhen my prior blog got hacked, I couldn't even get blogger to listen to me!! I"VE BEEN HACKED!! And I filled out about 8 of those forms EVERY DAY. They got back with me over 5 weeks later and sent me another form to fill out....same form.
ReplyDeleteWhen you screw with the bull, you get the horns, and they like to keep things the way they want them.
You're going into territory where many have gone, but few came back alive.
I have no clue. I have had the same problem. I changed my dashboard once and that seemed to put it back in the old style. I have problem loading video as well and linking to YouTube seems impossible. Sorry, Coffey! Sending love and hugs tho!
ReplyDeleteduh, what?
ReplyDeleteIt has been so long since I've use the dashboard tool for blogs I read. I use Google Reader (because my first choice decided to quit. Then after I migrated to goole reader they changed their mind!)
ReplyDeleteAre you saying that on your dashboard, there are no blogs listed anymore that you follow? Have you tried adding them. Isn't the blog list on the front left of your blog a different application than the one on dashboard?
sticking my neck out... as far as your list on the left hand side of your blog. Go to the bottom of that list (right side) and click on see all. Is there anything in there that you want to fiddle around with? Is there something in there that is effecting your linking ability?
ReplyDeletewhyi you lost all your links on your dashboard is something else. As I said, I cleared it out a long time ago... you may have to add them back in individually (whew what a job( ... or just go directly to google reader and bypass that page.
I'm not much help. sorry.
my word verification is psyclec. I'm feeling sorta that way today.. haha
