WSF, that is true. The front half went down in three minutes and very few made it out from three decks down. Some who did still drowned or was sucked down with the sinking. Too many men in tight quarters, unlike Army or Marines who are spread out more.

ReplyDelete+1 NFO. Seems to me, outside of aircrews, when the Navy suffers casualties, it is always a lot of casualties.
