Is it sad that I've never even heard the term "Code Talker" before? Thanks for posting this. I love learning new things! I think it's great that you are keeping history alive!

Despite the prejudices of the time, these men served honorably and bravely. Just like the Nisei (Americans of Japanese heritage) who were not allowed to fight in the Pacific because there were not trusted to fight their own type people, so the were sent to Europe where they won 21 MOH’s and numerous Bronz and Silver Stars for bravery; people o f color who fought bravely but not rewarded medals until 40 years later, or the Tuskegee Airmen who could only fly with other backs, yet never lost a bomber to German fighters, these Nisei’s fought well and served honorably to come home to unchanged bigotry and hate. Not from me. I would love to meet and shake the hand of everyone left and thank him.

I remember when I was little, my dad told me about the code talkers and I was fascinated! Such a shame that this wasn't on the national news, but HIGH FIVE to you, Coffey, for letting us know. And eternal gratitude to folks like Lloyd Oliver.
