After about a year of dread, fear, procrastination, and excuses, I finally bit the bullet and went to the ATM and withdrew the money…for my first tattoo.
It is my ships logo…The Fighter.
Didn’t hurt and now it feels like a slight sunburn.
Whatta ya think?

It looks real good!
I think its beautiful, and an awesome tribute to your brothers.

Basinah, that is exactly why I did it. Not because I served, but because of the 74, their families and the survivors.
Ooh and oww! Cool colors and even cooler that you're honoring the survivors and their families.
It turned out GREAT.
Love it so much!
I think...hepatitis.
Just kidding. It looks really nice.
Great! Except for the miss-spelled word....
HA! Made ya look!
I drew a GORGEOUS drawing of an eagle in the smoke from the Twin Towers and we ended up at a tattoo parlor where the owner was supposed to be an ARTIST! Except he was also a druggie and never showed up the three times Joe did.
Fearing a tattoo that looked like the Road Runner on fire, he finally gave up.
I've since lost my drawing, and it was PERFECT. You're lucky you found a tattoo artist who did you proud!
Looks great! Now you are brothers in arms in more ways than one!
A sailor with just one tattoo? Slacker. Nice tribute to the 74 and their families.
Nicely done, but you'll need many more tats to catch up to Favorite Young Man. He's covered from the tops of his feet to his neck. I don't think he has one on his butt, though, and I don't want to know. If you get one on your butt, however, I'll take a little peek.
Love,
Janie
*gasp*! JANIE!!! tsk tsk
Flippin' awesome!
Speaking of tattoos... anybody catch a show called "America's Worst Tattoos" last week?
The chick who let her ex tattoo a my little pony on her back, that ended up as a penis?
Priceless.
Back when I was young, the only people that had tattooes were the veterans. I ALWAYS approve of those.
I love it! Very nice tribute
Awesome! Surprised you waited so long!
