Lizzie Palmer is a 15 year-old who made this and other videos and can be found under her name at YouTube.com.
Also, she encourages you to go to thisisforthesoldiers.com and sign a petition in support of the troops. I did! It will not cost you anything, but may make you feel a little better knowing the troops can count on you on this Veterans Day.

Thanks for reminding us. I signed the petition. I'll tell you a story that I will never forget. I had a co-worker that was in the Army reserves and was deployed to the front lines as a medic in Operation Desert Storm. She had a six month old. She missed his first birthday. She came home when he was about 14 months old, and before he was 2, he died in a car accident. She did the best she could to exist. She divorced, remarried and had another baby who had a birth defect. Many believe it was from being on the front lines in the war. I don't know where she is today, but everytime I hear of the sacrifices that our soldiers make, I think of her. And, it makes me cry.
thanks for posting that, coffeypot.
Amy, I believe your friend's problems started with the death of her baby. And, yes, she is suffering from her experiences. But think of all the lives she saved, whose families got to see their loved ones again. Yes, she paid a price. That is what is meant when you tell a veteran, "Thanks for all you did and for you sacrifice." They did sacrifice a bit of themselves to make like better and safer for us all. And of all the jobs in the military, the hardest has to be the medical corps - especially the combat veterans. They see ALL the bad shit. That's why I respect them so much.
Excellent video.
Thank you.
I am proud of them all
I will remember them x
teri, e.craig and kate, don't thank me. Thank those who serve, or served. They need to hear it.
