The 237th Birthday of the US Navy

                                     (From Then to Now)

Happy 237th Birthday to the U.S. Navy.

The old girl looks great for her age.  Why, it seems like just yesterday that she was 236 years old…but she is still looking good.

From 1775, at her birth, she was a fighting force.  Since then, the US Navy ships have patrolled on, under and above the seas of the world enabling the world to stay free.

She is ready at any moment to defend the rights and liberty of the U.S. and our allies and bring down from the sky or sink to the bottom anyone trying to do harm to either.

Threats do not deter her, it encourages her.  Foul weather is like water off a ducks back.  Nothing can stop a taskforce once she sets sail, and going into harm’s way is her major purpose.

God bless the USA, the US Navy and the crews who serve in her now, those from the past who made her what she is today, and the future men and women who will take her to new highs in ways we can only imagine.

Anchors Aweigh, me boys...

God Blessing and my name usually don't go hand in hand. So thank you, LD.

JJ, USNA is an awesome place to visit. And I love seeing the cadets marching or in formation.
