We in retirement take exception to everyone saying
that Obama, Reid and Pelosi are spending
like drunken sailors.
When we were drunken sailors,
we quit when we ran out of money.
PLEASE DO NOT INSULT US...

Hubster as a once upon a time 'Drunken Enlisted Sailor' is laughing.

Well, those of us who had been drunken soldiers many times, many years ago, usually had a specific goal in mind when we set upon the town to get intoxicated.
I wish I could recall what those goals were.
AM, being a drunken sailor is the one thing most all sailors have in common. That and hatered for the paintbrush.
Dude, while in Japan and Hong Kong, we had nothing to do during the day because the Navy hired locas to clean and paint the ship. So we were drunk from 08:30 till we went back to sea. Many of us stood morning muster swaying from the effects of the evil spirits. Then, after a couple of weeks, we went to sea...BARRRFFFFF!
Very funny :0)
CoffeyPot,
Funny, there were many times when I was a grunt, on hard ground, that I thought we were on a ship at sea...all the movement and swaying....
ahhh..the good old days in Germany...where we drank really good German bier by the liters.
Funny, it never tasted that good when it came back up.
Oh so true! At sea, the barf bucket was in a small electronic counter measure room and was also used to catch any spillage or drops from the coffee pot. Barf, take a deep breath, smell the coffee, barf some more. A sick sailor could loose 5 lbs in one night.
I always wanted to go to Germany, but I had rather go as a service man than a tourist.
Didn't expect political correctness requests coming from you. ;-)
